Going Further North
There are two types of Council owned cemeteries in the Far North District. Some are operated by the Council and others are operated by Community.
Community operated cemeteries
Broadwood, Fairburn, Herekino, Houhora, Mangonui, Mangungu, Oruaiti, Peria, Pungaere, Takahue, Waiharara and Waipapakauri.
In addition, there are a number of graveyards adjacent to churches. Customers should contact the church direct if not listed above.
Council operated cemeteries
Council manages and maintains cemeteries in the following locations:
